ENTREDITS
Entredits is the name of this project, which reflects about the concept of objects, jewellery and feminity. The original Brief that was given to me was to create a set of breakfast tableware but I tried to push the project further conceptually.
My main inspiration was the poetry of the hand’s gesture when eating and how our body interacts with objects. The concept of jewelry appeared really interesting to me, as it inspired me to create the shape of Entredits (in between fingers).
Jewels are the encarnation of beauty and I realized that women have had the same role in our society for many years. I asked myself, ‘What is beauty?’ , ‘What characteristics make a women beautiful throughout society’s eyes?’ And also how all of this has changed through time and how it is in the present.
Us, women, are not just beautiful, but strong and intelligent and nowadays we are still fighting for our rights. Entredits is pure gesture and wants to honor and remember all those women, past and present, that have taken action to change things and will continue to do.
Entedits is the materialisation of all this thoughts.
